Browsing by name offers another route into photography when a subject category is too broad. Start with the credit you have and keep initials, surname order and spelling variants visible in your notes.
Follow the credit into the work
A useful comparison starts with photographs that clearly belong to the same project or author. Avoid combining unrelated images simply because a name is similar. Compare captions, project titles and the context in which an image is presented.
For close viewing, select a short sequence and make notes on consistency: colour, framing and transitions between pictures. This turns a name search into a considered reading of the work.
